Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen released their brand new studio album „Black Light / White Noise“ on splatter vinyl, black vinyl, digipak CD and DSPs via BMG last Friday (April 4) to great international acclaim. Shortly afterwards, the lyric video for the song „Outlaw“ will be released.

„It’s been a while since we got this record back from Jay Ruston’s studio and pushed the button to get it mastered and get the artwork done, so I’m just proud that it’s out there,“ Richie admits. „Yeah, it feels like a lot has happened in that time,“ Adrian adds with overwhelming understatement. „I’m just looking forward to our fans getting to hear the rest of the tracks and see how it all fits together. It was once again a great experience working with Richie and playing a lot more with Julia and Bruno in the studio this time.“
Recorded at The House in Los Angeles, California, produced by Richie and Adrian and mixed by Jay Ruston, „Black Light / White Noise“ demonstrates Adrian and Richie’s exceptional talent as songwriters, musicians and singers. The ten-track album is indeed a great collection of songs that can stand shoulder to shoulder with some of their best work to date.
Atmospheric, ambitious, diverse as well as brilliant, it features not only stratospheric guitar solos and phenomenal rock vocals, but also soulful touches, complex playing, beautiful songwriting and a confidence in attitude and style that is reminiscent of a host of legendary bands and musicians (Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, Cream, Free, Deep Purple), but is undeniably the work of Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen in perfect harmony.
