Here is the announcement of the organizer, who also hosts the No Sleep After X-mas Festival , which starts in a few days:
Hello freshwater pirates,
We at the No Sleep After X-mas Festival have been working for a long time to put together a special open air festival that has never existed before in this form and concept.
We didn’t want to do a mere copy of No-Sax as an open air, but something completely new. And today we are proud to present you our new metal baby, the PIRATE FEST!
It will be the first music festival with the overarching theme of pirates, buccaneers and buccaneers, and that’s what the side program will be all about in addition to the band performances.
However, the medieval and steampunk themes will also be appropriately played out.
So on May 16 and 17, 2025 the crews of 14 death-defying pirate teams from all over Europe will make their way to Rotenhain in the Westerwald, which is also known as „Little Tortuga“ in buccaneering circles 😉.
We think there will be something for everyone musically, from folk to medieval rock to power metal and beyond.
And there will be great headliners, which we know everyone loves. But we won’t reveal any more about the first wave of bands at this point.
But we will mention the first 3 crews:
Dragony from Austria
Silverbones from Italy
The Privateer from Germany
which we will introduce to you in detail in the coming weeks. We hope you’ll come and let us know in the comments what you think of the idea! 😉🤘
Cat in the bag tickets reduced by 15,- Euro (70,- instead of 85,- Euro) for the live spectacle are available for purchase and download on No-Sax.com from 24.12.2024 (in the afternoon).
If you would like to camp on the beautiful camping site, you will need a tent ticket for 15 euros per person. Cars can be parked in a parking lot, but if you want to park directly next to the tent, you will need a car ticket, which costs 10 euros. A motorhome or caravan on the campsite costs 20 euros.
The additional tickets will be available from us from around mid-January.
So, that was our Christmas surprise, I hope you are as happy about it as our old captain and us as a crew!
So you pirates of the 7 seas – get your old soul catchers ready to set sail for Rotenhain in the Westerwald, a really great open air venue that has been established for many years. More information will be available on the new festival page in the next few days:
