Neuborn Open Air 2024 – New Photos from BODYFARM, UNEARTH, PRIMORDIAL, TRIUMPH OF DEATH, COMBICHRIST & CARCASS!

Dutch death metal may not be as popular as its Swedish counterpart, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less good. Just think of legends like Asphyx, Gorefest or Pestilence. BODYFARM, however, go their own way. Their performance at this year’s NOAF was definitely a lot of fun.

When it comes to the question of metalcore legends, there’s no getting around UNEARTH.
At this year’s NOAF, the guys from Massachusetts proved that they still have what it takes.

PRIMORDIAL may not be one of our photographer’s favorite bands, but they definitely know how to deliver a great atmospheric show.

Photographer Nico has to admit that the last time he heard Combichrist was 15 years ago in a gothic club, when the whole thing was still pure aggrotech. So he was all the more surprised when they were announced for NOAF. Even more so when a whole band stood in front of his camera and played pure industrial metal. It was definitely an entertaining act.

HELLHAMMER (or Celtic Frost) is the most important band when it comes to black and death metal. There’s nothing to discuss, and if you see it differently, easy, because everyone has the right to their own wrong opinion. The fact that Nico was finally allowed to hear the songs live was long overdue. Tom Warrior must have thought the same thing when he founded his own tribute band, TRIUMPH OF DEATH. And what can we say? It was great!

The last time our photographer was able to see CARCASS was during their reunion in 2008, when unfortunately it didn’t feel like all the members had the same motivation. But with the current line-up it’s a completely different story, their last albums were really good and they’re a lot of fun live.
