At the beginning of the darker seasons, WOLFHEART deliver the perfect musical accompaniment for the coming months with their brand new album: „Draconian Darkness“ is finally being released via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM)!
On the one hand, it’s time to celebrate its release, on the other hand, the first tour with the new material is coming up tomorrow, which will take the band through Finland for ten shows, which is why the winter metallers are presenting a music video for ‚Ancient Cold‘, the album opener, today. Epically marching and symphonic, it heralds the beginning of the new work.
The intro makes a powerful impression, despite or perhaps because of its simplicity, and prepares the fans for a song whose clinking cold atmosphere the quartet is able to break through again and again brilliantly with clear vocals in the choruses.

„With its brute introduction and a huge amount of riffs and melodies that take fans on a rollercoaster ride of Nordic fire and ice, ‚Ancient Cold‘ is the perfect opening to the album, but also to upcoming live shows. On top of that, we shot the accompanying video in the most epic location we’ve ever set foot in for a shoot. The breathtaking mountain landscapes of Iceland just fit like a glove,“ comments mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen on the track.
He adds: „“Draconian Darkness“ is already our seventh record, at the same time we have reached the peak of our musical work, which has been going on since 2013. We’ve worked hard for a whole year to create this new milestone in our career – under the mighty RPM wings!“
„Draconian Darkness“ was created together with long-term partner Saku Moilanen (production, mixing and mastering) at Deep Noise Studios. The accompanying artwork was created by VisionBlacks (Nikos Stavridakis).
