We Shall Remain“ may already be almost a year old, but the fourth album by Swedish symphonic dark metal band ELEINE has lost none of its luster, especially due to its enormously intense songs!
Today, the busy five-piece have released the official video for the track ‚Suffering‘ from the album. The song is bursting with great melodies, brute riffing, incredibly versatile vocals and, last but not least, orchestral sophistication. Fans can also listen to the ‚Suffering‘ instrumental version on the usual streaming portals.
Singer Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg explain the deep meaning behind the track: „Life keeps challenging you and sometimes it just keeps pushing you forward, even when you don’t see any reason to. Your own head gets to you and tears you apart inside, reminding you again and again of negative things from the past, which leads you to believe that you can no longer get out of this vicious circle of hopelessness and pain. But… you should never give up. Face your fears and choose between a familiar place that will destroy you, or set off for new shores that may give you new strength. One day you’ll reach a point where you can look at your old self from the other side. Then you’ve made it.“
