In this day and age, it is by no means a matter of course for a band to be on the road together for decades – and even then with the original line-up. If someone does manage it, then there is one thing above all else behind it, alongside countless stories: Friendship, that very special cohesion that makes it possible to go through thick and thin together.
In addition, of course, there is the passion for music that unites them. For the South Tyrolean rockers from UNANTASTBAR, this is exactly what is behind them celebrating their 20th anniversary this year: „It feels unreal to have played together in this band for 20 years. It seems like yesterday that we met for the first time in 2004 in the rehearsal room in Brixen. So many memories, an incredibly great time. And it’s not over yet.“
The obvious highlights of this time include five placements in the top 5 of the German album charts, most recently number 2 for their 9th studio album „WIR LEBEN LAUT“, released at the end of 2022, as their first collaboration with Napalm Records‘ rock subsidiary Spinning Goblin Productions. And of course, the band owes all of this to their incredibly loyal, ever-growing fan base, which is why: „Let’s celebrate our anniversary together!“
And in this case, that doesn’t just mean that UNANTASTBAR will be playing four anniversary concerts in May 2024 as previously announced – no, they have also prepared a few very special gifts: „WIR LEBEN LAUT – LIVE“ is the name of the live album announced for May 10, for which the band has recorded highlights from their „WIR LEBEN LAUT“ tour in 2023.
In addition to the live album, a documentary will be released that not only captures the rousing stage performances, but also provides an exclusive look behind the scenes and shows UNANTASTBAR personally in their wild everyday life on tour. In addition, a special box set will be available exclusively in the band store as part of the anniversary celebrations, which will contain a biography with many unpublished photos as well as images and sound and which the band is particularly looking forward to: „We have been compiling material for a book for years and have recorded hours of audio recordings with memories. This biography is a look back at the last 20 years. We never thought there would be so much to tell. From the first filthy rehearsal room in Brixen to the first concerts and huge festivals. But there’s also room for Joggl’s inglorious past before his time with UNANTASTBAR. A book about a friendship that has now existed for 20 years. About ‚five completely normal weirdos‘ (song quote) who have reached higher than they ever dared to dream with Unantastbar.“

The 2024 anniversary shows „20 years of LAUT“ will be celebrated live, for which advance sales are already underway.
