The fact that the line-up for Rockharz 2024 is already awesome was confirmed at the end of last year with the announcement of Judas Priest and Bruce Dikinson. Now the festival organizers have confirmed another final wave of bands on top!
Six more bands join already well-known highlights such as JUDAS PRIEST, BRUCE DICKINSON and HAMMERFALL.
For die-hard ROCKHARZ fans, it’s the highlight of every festival year anyway. But the line-up announced by the traditional ROCKHARZ at the Ballenstedt airfield for this year’s 31st edition is causing a sensation even beyond the borders of Germany: the more than 30 bands, including the headliners JUDAS PRIEST, DIMMU BORGIR, KREATOR, HAMMERFALL and Iron Maiden frontman BRUCE DICKINSON, had for the most part not even been announced when the festival already reported „sold out“ in record time. With his only festival show of the year in Germany, the latter will be celebrating his solo work „The Mandrake Project“, which has just entered the official German album charts at number 1, under the Teufelsmauer. After more than 30 years, it is no exaggeration to say that 2024 will once again add a number of highlights to the history of ROCKHARZ. For organizers and fans alike, it will be a dream come true in metal form.
But that’s not all: there’s another surprise for all the lucky ones who have secured a ticket in time. Following the final wave of bands recently, AVATARIUM, DYNAZTY, LEAGUE OF DISTORTION, MASSIVE WAGONS, NANOWAR OF STEEL and VAN CANTO have now joined the already diverse line-up, adding even more anticipation to the countdown to ROCKHARZ 2024.
The line-up for the 31st ROCKHARZ from July 3 to 6, 2024 at the Ballenstedt airfield in the Harz Mountains is now complete and reads – in alphabetical order – as follows:

This line-up will bring tears to the eyes of every metalhead.
In addition to the bands‘ performances, there will of course also be plenty on offer at the Airfield.
In addition to autograph sessions with your favorite artists, there will be food stalls on the infield and the campsite offering a wide range of options. Whether meat, vegetarian or vegan, there will be something for everyone.
There will also be a drinking water point on the infield where you can fill up on water for free at any time!
Furthermore, there will be the BERGARTEN / MUTANTENSTADL! According to the festival
probably the largest beer garden in Saxony-Anhalt with over 1,000 seats and the hearty Mutantenstadl, the ROCKHARZ-Alm.
The only downer for metalheads who don’t yet have a ticket for Rockharz 2024: The festival has unfortunately been sold out for a long time! Below is some information for buying tickets on the private market:
However, if you don’t want to wait any longer and are considering buying tickets from private individuals, we recommend the following precautions:
- Get the ticket numbers and check them against our blacklist. The tickets on this list are blocked, so please DO NOT buy them!
It is best to have photos of the tickets sent to you.
- Get the full name and address of the seller before finalizing the sale. Try to find out whether the information is true. If possible, arrange a personal handover. If a personal handover is not possible, check again whether the person is actually trustworthy.
- Listen to your gut feeling. If anything seems strange, don’t go ahead with the transaction.
- When paying via PayPal, use the „Payments for goods and services“ option even if there is a fee. There is no buyer protection for payments made via the „Family and friends“ option!
- If tickets are offered at an inflated price (more than 10% above the face value of the ticket) this is against our terms and conditions and is considered a commercial sale. You may not be admitted with these tickets.
- There are no Print@Home festival tickets!
Do not transfer money to foreign accounts! In case of fraud the money is irretrievably lost.
