Here’s the new EP by Mad Dogs, featuring two unreleased tracks revealing the right recipe: guitars, groove and catchy melody.
“Solitary Walker’s Blues” is a raw blues that harks back to Thee Hypnotics’ rides and 70s soundscapes. On the other hand, “A New Dawn” is a power-pop track that winks at the sound of Hellacopters.
This EP is a manifesto of the band’s rock’n’roll attitude and consistency, but also a link between the 2020 album We Are Ready To Testify and the next one currently being written.
ABOUT THE BAND:
MAD DOGS is a four-piece band born and devoted to rock’n’roll since 2009. Their debut album Niente É Come Sembra was self-released on CD in 2014.
In 2016 the band found its ultimate shape and stability after several lineup changes. From now on, the artistic and creative path has been oriented toward high-energy rock and 70s sounds. In Autumn of that same year, Mad Dogs entered the Go Down Studio in Savignano sul Rubicone to record Ass Shakin’ Dirty Rollers. This sophomore album was mixed and mastered by Alfredo Epi Gentili, then finally released on Go Down Records in April 2017. It’s an hard-hitting record, written and recorded in a short time and able to shoot the band unfiltered.
In June 2019, Mad Dogs recorded their third studio album We Are Ready To Testify at Teatro Delle Voci Studios in Treviso, thanks to the gained experience and with a new awareness. It was mixed and mastered at Daniel Grego’s Mal De Testa Recording Studio and released via Go Down Records on LP and digital on October 16th 2020. This record shows off a powerful sound, emphasizing the band’s Rock’n’Roll attitude and love for garage-rock sounds, but it also gives room for more refined details and 70s throwbacks. It was critically acclaimed and the band toured, despite the difficulties due to the pandemic.
In 2022, the band took part to the “Rollin’ with the Best” compilation for the 20year career of the British group New Generation Superstars, with a cover song titled “Out Of My Head”.
In Spring 2023 Mad Dogs drops the 45 Solitary Walker’s Blues/A New Dawn for Go Down Records and keeps touring Italy and Europe. During these years the band shared the stage with bands such as Lords Of Altamont, Deniz Tek from Radio Birdman, Keith Streng
