Mit „Nothing but a dream“ erscheint bereits das zweite Album des Newcomer-Projekts TWiNS iN FEAR bei Scanner / Dark Dimensions Label Group.
Lena und Maria entwickeln ihren düsteren Elektropop im atemlosen Tempo weiter und verschmähen selbst entfernte Stile wie Metal, R´nB oder Dark Wave nicht.
Das Ergebnis ist ein überraschend vielfältiges und abwechslungsreiches Album. Hier offenbart sich ein ganz individuelles künstlerisches Talent, das uns sicher auch noch in der Zukunft beschäftigen wird.
In „Nothing but a Dream“ geht es um alle möglichen Träume und Visionen, um Utopien, Dystopien und einen schrägen Blick auf die manchmal doch widersinnige Realität der Gegenwart.
Der Titelsong verrät möglicherweise die Ohnmacht über den derzeitigen Zustand der Welt, scheinbar kitschige Beziehungen werden in ihrer Absurdität zu Albträumen und vieles, was eigentlich profan erscheint, wird als paradox entlarvt.
Groteske oder düstere Atmosphäre liegt konsequent über dem kompletten Album.
Nach langer Pause werden Lena und Maria im Sommer endlich auch wieder in vielen deutschen Städten live zu sehen sein und versprechen eine fulminante Show.
Maria: „So gern wir im Tonstudio an Songs arbeiten, so sehr brauchen wir auch die Bühne. Denn es gibt uns nicht nur, weil wir unsere Ideen in Kellerproberäumen und kalten Tonstudios loswerden müssen. Wir wollen vor Menschen stehen, für sie tanzen und singen und ihnen unsere Gedanken erzählen.
Vor allem aber möchten wir unsere Gefühle mit euch teilen. Gegen unsere Einsamkeit.“

The release of „Nothing but a Dream“ already marks the second published album of newcomer project TWiNS iN FEAR for Scanner / Dark Dimensions Label Group.
Lena and Maria further develop their dark electropop with blinding speed, and they don’t shy away from trying other genres as well such as metal, R’n’B and dark wave. The result is a suprisingly diverse and varied album. This is where individual artistic talent – that is sure to stay on our minds as time goes on – shines through.
„Nothing but a Dream“ is about many different dreams and visions; about utopias, dystopias and even the contradictory nature of reality. The theme song expresses a certain horror in light of the state of the world. Seemingly corny relationships become nightmarish through absurdity and a lot of what seems profane is exposed as paradoxical. A groteque and sinister atmosphere dominates the entirety of the album.
After a long break, Lena and Maria will finally perform again in the summer. You’ll be able to see them live in many german cities, and they promise a magnificent show. Maria: „Despite how much we like working on songs from a studio, we also NEED to be on stage again. We don’t just want to vocalize our ideas in some basement recording booth or a cold studio. We want to stand before our fans; we want to dance and sing and share our thoughts with them. What we want to communicate above all are our feelings. To counter the loneliness.“
