Since the tour kicked off in Amsterdam in April 2023, around four million fans have experienced Metallica live. The M72 WORLD TOUR has been hailed as „a thoroughly life-affirming experience“ (Billboard), „undeniably epic“ (Metal Hammer), „an absolutely stunning show“ (Detroit News), „triumphant“ (Kerrang!) and „more powerful and precise than it’s been in years“ (Los Angeles Times), among other accolades. Metallica continues to wow fans and critics alike.
The 2026 Europe/UK leg of the M72 WORLD TOUR continues the acclaimed No Repeat Weekend tradition with two completely different setlists and support acts on consecutive concert nights. Since the World Magnetic Tour 2009, this includes first appearances on May 22 + 24 in Frankfurt (Deutsche Bank Arena), June 11 + 13 in Budapest, June 19 + 21 in Dublin and July 3 + 5 in London.
In addition, M72 is also bringing the complete production – including the impressive 360° stage – to the following cities for individual shows: Athens (May 9), Bucharest (May 13), Chorzów (May 19), Zurich (May 27), Berlin (May 30), Bologna (June 3), Glasgow (June 25) and Cardiff (June 28).
The M72 WORLD TOUR 2026 is produced by Live Nation. As always, a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sale will go to local charities through Metallica’s „All Within My Hands“ foundation. This was established in 2017 to give back to the communities Metallica have supported over the years. Since then, over $20 million has been raised – including $11.4 million for career and technical education programs such as the groundbreaking Metallica Scholars Initiative (now in its seventh year), over $7.4 million to combat food insecurity and more than $4.7 million for disaster relief efforts.
