Dark, melodic and cinematic, Diamond Black continue to forge a sound that blends brooding atmospheres with anthemic alt-rock hooks. Their previous single Dark Anthems reached #4 in the German Alternative Charts, and their recent releases have drawn praise from members of The Mission, Therapy?, Lord of the Lost, and The Birthday Massacre—who personally invited them to support their 2025 UK tour.
With Fall Into the Silence, the band deliver their most emotionally raw work to date. Beneath its thunderous riffs and aching fragility lies a stark portrait of addiction, isolation, and the long struggle back toward connection—both with others and with oneself. The track captures the numb repetition of substance abuse, the erosion of self-worth over time, and the devastating quiet that follows years spent suppressing pain. At its heart is a simple, unflinching question: “Is there anyone, anywhere?”

Mental health remains central to Diamond Black’s identity. Frontman Ben Christo (The Sisters of Mercy) writes candidly from personal experience of trauma, addiction and recovery, and often speaks before live shows about the power of staying connected and the courage it takes to ask for help. His performance is matched by the power and precision of Pendragon drummer Jan-Vincent Velazco and the immersive visual world created by bassist and artist Adam Hart, whose design work continues to shape the band’s unique aesthetic.
“The lyrics reflect the damage we do when we go silent — and the courage it takes to break that silence, open up and reconnect with the support that can save us.” – Ben Christo
This release also marks a special collaboration with guest vocalist Chloe Ozwell (formerly of Sister Shotgun), whose emotive presence brings added intensity to the song’s themes of struggle and survival. Her interplay with Christo brings both contrast and harmony—fragile at times, fierce at others—amplifying the track’s sense of longing and catharsis.
Produced by Jaani Peuhu (The Rasmus, Swallow the Sun), Fall Into the Silence sets the tone for Diamond Black’s forthcoming EP, ahead of their full-length debut in 2026.
