Prophecy Fest sadly have to announce that ARTHUR BROWN has been forced to cancel his performance this year due to a string of unfortunate events. After the beloved English singer found himself without any musicians to support him on stage this weekend due to accidents, illness, and serious personal reasons, Arthur had no choice but to announce his cancellation. We sincerely hope that ARTHUR BROWN will be able to return to Balve next year, and to wish everybody involved a speedy recovery and much strength in their personal life.
ARTHUR BROWN comments: „I am terribly sorry not to be able to come and celebrate Prophecy Fest with all of you this year“, the legendary rock pioneer writes. „Never before in my career, have I been hit with such a string of incidents that left me without a band for this weekend. Whenever we came up with a new plan, fate put a spanner in the works and yesterday, it pulled the final plug and left me without a single musician able to play. At this point, I want to give all my love and best wishes to my very special friends and band members, who got into their current plights through no fault of their own. Get well soon, my dearest friends! Regarding Balve, I will do my best of course to return next year and even bring some new songs to the cave. Do we have a deal? Please enjoy a great fest and see you soon again!“
Martin Koller comments: „We will sure miss Arthur this year, but after trying everything to make it happen, we had no other choice in the end“, the label’s founder declares. „We will make sure to have Arthur come back in 2024. Unfortunately, this also means that we have to change the running order. Please accept our sincere apologies, if this affects your plans in any way, but it was necessary to implement changes.“
This also means that the running order for Friday and Saturday had to be adapted. DARKHER moved from Friday to the slot of ARTHUR BROWN and there is an option for bands to add some playing time on Friday. Please find the updated running order for Prophecy Fest 2023 below:
