Denmark’s extreme metal quartet KONVENT releases title track from upcoming album Firesky |

Today, the Danish death doom band KONVENT releases the second single and the title song of their upcoming third album Firesky, which will be released on the 6th. November 2026 on Napalm Records. The new song shows the versatility of the four musicians and underlines their great strength to create pitch-black abysses and to intertwine them with clear passages that shine through the dull heaviness like fire in the title. After a tour with Zeal & Ardor as well as appearances on the Wacken Open Air and Copenhell, Firesky is the most courageous album of KONVENT so far.

This time, five decorated compositions are enough for the quartet to demonstrate the incomparable gravity of their sound worlds. The tracks on Firesky are a lot longer than previous KONVENT songs, but the dynamics of the dark arrangements prove special devotion. Where the musicians recently shaped the Death Doom scene, they are now expanding their influences and experimenting with black metal. It is said that the third album is about everything or nothing – but KONVENT is reshaping the principle itself.

CONVENT about the new single „Firesky“:

“’Firesky‘ is a tribute to the female and queer communities that strengthen each other in a world full of adversity and wipe out any deep-rooted threat to our existence. ‚Firesky‘ also includes Mai Soon Young Øvlisen by Meejah.

Firesky is KONVENT’s most courageous album so far. Carefully designed, it serves both as an atmospheric journey through the darkest shallows of the soul and as a guiding star on the way out of the abyss. In this way, the Danes once again reshape the strong footprint they have already left in the scene.

CONVENTION about Firesky:

“After four years, we are finally ready to release our third album Firesky – our most ambitious album yet. We have experimented more with black metal, as this genre inspires us all very much. In terms of text, we could not ignore the political situation in the world. It was essential for us to comment on the targeted measures that deprive women and LGBTQ people of basic human rights. Firesky is the burning desire to burn everything down and create a more supportive and sensitive world.”
