Ariadne’s Thread is an uncommon music project founded in Kraków in early 2018 by Adrianna Zborowska – vocalist, multi-instrumentalist.
Their music is based on a diverse set of traditional instruments and complex musical interests of its members. It is an attempt at a fresh look at folk music through merging modern, Metal elements with archaic sounds, creating a really atmospheric
union.
Ariadne’s Thread’s works are linked to dark and mysterious European folklore, derived from mediaeval, renaissance, Scandinavian and Celtic music withthe elements of the primal pulsating trance, driving rock and metal along with a more
subtle, courtly approach.
Following the release of their EP ”From the very beginning” in 2019, Ariadne’s thread played a string of shows and festivals across Poland throughout 2019, as well as being featured on several online e-zines and playing a spot on RockRadio Lublin.
At the beginning of the 2020 lockdown, things took a turn with the departure of 3/4 of the original line up, leaving vocalist, Adrianna, to make the decision to takethe band in a new direction.
With the introduction of 4 new members, Sebastian Najder (Acoustic Guitar and backing
Vox), . Hubert Kalinowski (Electric Guitar) Adam Barry (Bass Guitar) & Pawel Czartoryski (Drums), they released their first metal EP “The Hammer of Witches” in October 2024.
Sadly, Sebastian left the band in the beginning of Autumn 2024 to focus on other projects.
